6th Grade
• Created a novel study based around the novel Rules by Cynthia Lord.
• Assessed the students learning by journal responses and weekly spelling tests.
• Guided students learning through class discussions and critical thinking questions throughout the novel.
• Assisted students in math when they were working on their class work.
• Graded an assortment of assignments from the students.
• Worked with a student for a case study.

2nd Grade
• Guided and explained material to students through lecture and activities.
• Created 5E lesson plans in Science teaching about Rocks and for Math teaching about Clocks and Time
• Adapted to the Foss Curriculum which was used for teaching Science
• Accommodated early finishers by providing extra work or having them become teacher helpers.
• Accommodated a student with Asperger’s by having a teacher sit with him to help him stay focused.
• Assessed the students by providing worksheets and teacher directed observations

1st Grade
• Assisted in an elementary classroom for 40 hours
• Created bulletin boards and displayed art work on the hallway walls
• Guided students in spelling by working with vowel sounds
• Built a science center where the students grew their own plants
• Separate books by the there level of reading using the system the cooperating teacher used
• Prepared lesson materials by stapling, copying papers, and creating spelling word flash cards
• Assisted in making costumes for the class play

EXPERIENCE Atchison, Kansas
• Worked with children ages 2 ½ to 12 years old by leading them through the daily activities, breakfast, calendar time, lunch, nap, playtime.
• Worked with the summer camp kids throughout the day participating in activities, sports, and arts and crafts
• Held a lead teacher position which involved staying with the children without another teacher’s supervision
Camp St. Scholastica May 2006- July 2006
Atchison, Kansas
• Lead the girls in different sports activities where they would learn specific skills in each sport. Weekly we would monitor their progress and score them at the end of the week.
• Weekly they would go on field trips in Atchison and create different arts and crafts
